Frozen Grapes

Like most of society, I have a sweet tooth.  For many years, I could and would eat dessert throughout the day, sometimes even as a meal. As you know, even though a cupcake may taste good at the time, it leaves you feeling bloated and sick later on, especially if you eat too many of them.  When I started on this journey of eating healthy and clean, with virtually no added ingredients, I had to learn to live without processed sweets and to embrace the goodness of yummy fruits and vegetables.  As my body weaned itself off of the “dirty” diet, I fell in love with the foods that nature gives us.  And, I no longer had to feel guilty for eating what I was eating.  Fruits and vegetables are just so healthy for the body and they have the beautiful benefit of causing skin to glow from the inside out.  I started going on instagram some months into my diet, and what I found was a population of plant-based eaters.  It was then that I discovered the different ways to add flavor to my vegan meals.  One of the posts I saw was one in which a person took grapes and froze them overnight.  I decided to try this and let me tell you, I was hooked.  Somehow in the freezing process, the rich and sweet flavors of the grapes were intensified.  What a delicious snack!  I have come to truly enjoy this as a sweet treat, and I can eat a large bag without feeling sick.  I am able to nourish my body with the antioxidants and vitamins such as vitamin K, copper, and B2, that grapes have to offer.  This is yet another delicious whole food that can aid in fighting off cancer and other diseases.  So, try this sometime and let me know what you think!  Just thoroughly rinse off your grapes, pull them off their stem, and fill a medium sized ziplock bag.  Place in the freezer overnight and enjoy the following day!
