Reasons to Become a Minimalist

Minimalism encompasses the philosophy of “less is more.”  Living with less possessions has a multitude of benefits that will enrich your life and change it for the better.  It may not seem that way if you like to acquire materials things, but once you start the process of purging, you will find a sense of clarity and peace as well as a feeling of freedom.  It is truly a beautiful process that narrows down for a person what really matters in life.  I wanted to share some of the advantages to being a minimalist.  My desire is to inspire as many people as I can to live light and to enjoy all of the beauty that minimalism has to offer.

Reasons to Become a Minimalist

  • you will be more organized
  • you will be more productive at getting tasks done
  • you will have an easier time picking out daily attire
  • you will have a deeper appreciation for the items you purchase
  • you will discover more about yourself because you won’t rely on things to make you happy
  • you will enhance your creativity by using what you do have to make for a pleasing life
  • you will have more experiences (less stuff means more time getting out and doing things)
  • you will discover what truly matters in life
  • you will have less stress by not having to keep up with a clutter filled home
  • you will save money and get ahead financially
  • you will be happier because you won’t feel the need to continually compare yourself to others and what they have
  • you will have peace and clarity (less possessions=less things to worry about)
  • you will discover new hobbies
  • you will have more time on your hands
  • you will have a cleaner house (less clutter means less dust and dirt)
  • you will have a smaller waste (without the clutter, you can focus on getting healthy and getting rid of junk food)
  • If you have children, they will experience all of these advantages as well

I have come to truly enjoy being a minimalist.  I can’t imagine living any other way.  I feel the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever felt and I know you can too!
